Australia’s most popular TikTok videos and creators of 2023 will be celebrated at the TikTok Awards in Sydney Australia. The nominations include a wide range of content, from ASMR garlic bread videos with over 84 million views to parodies of the Kardashian family and suburban garage parties.
High-Profile Nominees
Among the nominees are individuals who gained fame through TikTok, as well as well-known Australians who found new audiences on the platform. AFL player Christian Petracca, for example, has been nominated for Sport Creator of the Year alongside Australia’s women’s soccer team, the Matildas, and rugby player Kennedy Cherrington.
International Creators
The awards will also recognize international creators, such as American Chris Olsen, whose video of his trip to Sydney has garnered 18 million views on the app. British trainspotter Francis Bourgeois has been featured on Transport for NSW’s Instagram page as he checked out the Sydney Metro ahead of the awards.
